Understanding Registration code, Developer key and Login credentials

posted May 23, 2013, 6:38 AM by Johannasoft Software

The library itself uses a developer key (our developer key), so there is no need for you to get one from ImageShack.

If, for whatever reason, you would like to use your own developer key with the library, please contact us.

For uploading an image to an specific account, login/password OR the user's registration code must be used.

We have learned from experience that using your email address as username is not a good idea, since Imageshack
service might not handle it well, it won't return an error and the image will be uploaded to the developer's key tied account.

If you want to use the library and the user's login name contains special characters, such as '@', these characters must be
escaped so the service call won't fail.

So remember to use HTML encoded characters for those special characters if present on both login and / or password.
